Early Summer

• Last year, I posted an entry on Sunday, May 21, 2006 about two birds trying
  to build a nest under the roof of my house. Yesterday I saw two birds trying to
  build a nest at the same place. Maybe they are not the same birds from last
  year but I think they are the same kind of birds, their feathers are also black.
  hmmm.... Yesterday was Monday, Mar 13, 2007, that means that the birds are
  here 2 months earlier. What should we say about global warming?

  are only used on one side to the recycling bin, it means throw the papers in the
  recycling bin after using both sides.

歸仁

紅瓦厝下好讀書

歸仁的夜，退卻城鎮喧囂，一股含著稻香、沁人心脾的清涼，流動著。 歸仁的讀書風氣，可是流傳兩百多年的傳統。明鄭時期，首輔陳永華在鄉內設立書院教育子弟，一時文風鼎盛，府城的文人雅士也聚集到此，自建書齋別墅修讀。於是紅瓦頂厝處處林立，早期當地人就稱歸仁為「紅瓦厝」，後來另取文人君子歸集的內涵，才更名為歸仁。 歸仁仁壽宮一如往常坐在陽光下，陪鄰近的老人下棋、話家常。網路祭壇的架設，的確讓仁壽宮一度成為焦點。而最令廟方驕傲的，是在地人對這種服務頗能接受，「我們鄉親也不落伍嘛！」 轟動考古界的歸仁十三窯遺址，就是在地文化人士的發覺。散落在大片竹林底下，成堆的紅瓦碎片，蒙古包狀的磚塊小丘，暗示著歸仁曾經的窯業繁華。 喜於閱讀與求知的歸仁鄉親，正為祖厝頂上的紅瓦，追尋著來時路。
